Warning…this will NOT be the most exciting blog post you’ve ever read! I am NOT happy with Typepad…they’ve changed their whole posting structure (you should here the crying, screaming, and gnashing of teeth throughout the photography world) which makes our images look really, really bad. And…to make matters worse, there seems to be no rhyme or reason…some pics are okay, some not so much, some just plain awful.

Well…let's just say that I NEVER want to move again! Goodness…not a fun process. However, we are moved in, halfway unpacked, and settling in nicely to our new house…which I LOVE! Sooooo…after a long absence on the bloggity blog I promise to have some more images up by tomorrow. In the meantime…if you haven't heard the FABULOUS NEWS yet…my new website is finally done! YAY! Check it out H-E-R-E.

There are some sessions that I leave with a little spring in my step…ones where I speed home blissfully because I can't wait for my date with my laptop…and my card reader. This was one such session…

I'll admit it…I've been dreading this day for weeks. Really. Truly. Dreading. 35. Yep…35. Not that it's old…it's not…and not that I have any reason to feel like it's a particularly bad or dreaded age…I think it's just that I feel like I should be all grown up by now. Graceful. Mature. Wise. Sophisticated. Instead I'm a total clutz, I still make goofy faces at my kids, I think I'm pretty smart…yep…but, not really "wise", and I'm the furthest thing from sophisticated. So…today was an incredibly low-key celebration…which I was most grateful for. It was a perfect day! Surrounded by my favorite people in the world! All the ones who think I'm great even if I don't get the laundry done, or dinner made, or I forget what movie we watched last night. My family spoiled me today. They all sacrificed their time to hang out with me doing things that I love to do…hanging out in a camera store buying the most b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l camera bag ever!…driving around endlessly looking at fabulous shooting locations that I have been wanting to check out…eating cheesecake for lunch at my mom and dad's house…and then going to our new house, that still sits empty, and humoring me while I chattered on endlessly about all the things that I want to "do" to the house! I can't wait to get my hands on a paint brush!

So…thank you my sweet family! I enjoyed every minute of my day with you all! And I am officially renouncing my declared hatred of greeting cards because this one just made me smile ear to ear…not just because I love the outside of it…but, because of the sweet, sweet words that my parents wrote on the inside that just reminded me once again how very blessed I am to be the daughter of two such amazing people. Thank you Mom and Dad! Thank you honey for the Jill-E bag! S-W-E-E-T-N-E-S-S!

In honor of the men and women who have sacrificed their lives, their spouses, their mothers and fathers for the sake of our country…have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Please remember our soldiers who have given so much of themselves…some even their very lives…in order to protect ours.

This is a very bittersweet day for me. I just cut off all of my baby's curls. My hubby called me this morning and told me that the time had come…actually the time had long passed…to give the boy a haircut. Oh! It was so hard to do!!! After the first snip…it was as if reality had set in…OH MY GOODNESS!!!…THERE THEY GO!!! Good bye curls…Goodbye crazy bedhead…Goodbye funky bathtime mowhawks…Goodbye…babyness…Hello Big Boy. A little bittersweet indeed…

After haircuts we entertained ourselves by building a little cube out of the Monopoly board. My thirteen year old would be the brilliant mind behind this idea. Turned out kinda cute…and I think I'm inspired for their play room once we move. I'm thinking it would be so fun to take some pictures of different game boards and make them all artsy looking and then blow them up on canvases to grace the walls. I mean…how else do ya decorate a playroom?

But…these were just fun…my little one was the perfect size to sit on the Monopoly cube…and besides that, he seemed to want to show off his new haircut for ya'll. ;o)
