For Alex… | Sandi Bradshaw | Photographer |
This whole session is a total surprise for mom since she had to go out of town the day before it was scheduled. But, we did the session anyway and I’m so glad to be able to truly surprise her with these images! How fun…it’s not very often that mom or dad are not around for the session…I felt like we were on a mission to conquer the alleys with adorableness. Some lady hollered down at us at one point that she would hang these pictures in her own house! I can’t blame her…I might have to snatch a couple for my office display.
My 9 year old walked in while I was editing these and said…that girl looks familiar! I’ve gotten to photograph these kids several times in the past couple of years and I have to say that it’s one of my favorite things to watch all of these kids grow up right before my camera! What a joy your kiddos are A…

Will she ever blog again?
I promise that I have not taken up residence under a rock buried deep below the sea. I will blog again…soon! My October and November have been so filled with sessions that blogging has taken a back seat…actually it’s sitting in the caboose. But…I wanted to pop in with a workshop update.
The February 2010 Focus Workshop is sold out…and then some. I let 1 extra person sneak in…’cuz that’s just the way I roll. Anyway…I have a rather long waiting list of people who could not attend the February workshop due to schedule conflicts, but have been waiting patiently to find out if I will be doing any other workshops later in the spring…and I am strongly considering doing a 2nd one in March or April. So…if you would like to be added to the pre-registration list for a March/April workshop…please email me to be included. The people on the pre-registration list will be notified of the dates and the registration opening before it will be publicized.
And…because I think it’s just a crime to post without a picture…here is just one (of one daughter) from a session I did a couple weeks ago. G family – your gallery is darn near ready!

Simply Golden… | Phoenix Children’s Photographer | Sandi Bradshaw |
Here’s a big sunburst of cute for ya! I’m lovin’ me some sunflare lately! It’s always so much fun for me to work with people that I’ve gotten to know and love. I’ve gotten to photograph these kids a handful of times now and it’s always fun…always eventful (more on that later)…and I always leave cracking up because this little dude is seriously one of the funniest kids I’ve ever met. If he doesn’t end up with a career in baseball like his Daddy…then he’ll definitely make a great comedian. He’s just hysterical.

And there’s little miss S…she is even sweeter than she looks…if that’s possible. However…for some reason she’s recently decided that she’s not all that fond of my camera (see below – LOL!). So…we danced around like monkeys and sang like Old MacDonald (complete with sounds effects) to get her giggling. Whatever it takes! I just adore her…isn’t she precious?

and yep…he really does love her…it’s the cutest thing. He has little endearing names for her…calls her sweetheart…it’s just precious.

and they both adore their gorgeous mom…who I’m pretty sure that Mr. S gets his hilarious gene from.

and here’s a fun one that we took after the sun had gone down and it was dark. dark, dark. I think I had my ISO at 1600 for this. I really like the regular version, but I loved the textured version even more…so that’s what ya get!
I will be posting Christmas mini session information tomorrow!!! I have had several people ask to be on the information email that will go out before it goes on the blog…and I hope to have that information emailed out to those who requested it tonight. So…if you’d like to have the times emailed to you before it goes on the blog then please email me and let me know so that you will have the best chance of getting the time you’d prefer.

Knock! Knock! Anybody Home?!?! … | Phoenix Photographer | Sandi Bradshaw |
I’ve been thinking about my poor neglected blog this weekend…and although I’ve enjoyed my little break from blogdom…it’s time to resurrect this thing. The past 2 or 3 weeks have been a whirlwind of activity here at Casa Bradshaw. Some good activity…some not so good. I’ve been very busy with holiday sessions as well as a couple of maternity sessions and some regular children’s sessions (the good!)…so I’m hoping to carve out more time for blogging here in the next couple of weeks. It’s just been a madhouse around here.
My sweet hubby also had surgery last week (the not so good!). It’s interesting how things change when the rock gets knocked off his feet for a few days. My three year old, who is normally pretty content and secure has been a clingy mess and not at all happy about Daddy’s inability to wrestle and play. Everything has just been kind of moving in slow motion the past few days while he’s been recovering…but in some ways that’s been nice too. The extra time that we’ve had just to curl up on the couch and chat has been really nice. We’re too busy. We just really, really are…and the past few days with him home and resting has been a reminder to me of how much I miss just having some leisure time to spend with my family. I made a decision earlier this year that I would be taking time off between Thanksgiving and New Years. I am so excited about having this time with my family! The past two Christmases have been very rushed and disconnected for me and I made a vow that I would not let that happen again.
So…with that said…I have three regular session openings remaining for the rest of the year. One has just opened up due to a schedule conflict. The available dates for sessions meeting the Christmas Portraits deadline are October 19th at 4:30, October 21st at 4:30, and October 28th at 4:30. I will also be doing ONE Mini Session day on Saturday, October 24th for those who are just looking to do a quick updated family picture for holiday cards and gift prints. The details for the mini sessions will be posted in the next day or two. If you’d like to be emailed the details for the mini session event prior to it being posted on my blog…please EMAIL ME. There will only be 6-8 openings for the mini session event.
And FINALLY…a sneak peek for a FABULOUS family! I could hardly believe it when I saw this little sweet pea…I did her newborn photos a year ago and it never ceases to amaze me how quickly they grow and change in that first year. It’s so much fun to get to see what they look like at a year after photographing them as newborns. Miss A is every bit as adorable as she was when she was a few days old. What a sweet little doll she is…and doesn’t she have the dreamiest big blue eyes?!?! Thanks M family…you guys are too much fun!

Summertime… | Sandi Bradshaw | Children’s Photographer |
I’m the first to admit that summertime in AZ is not my favorite time of the year. It’s painfully hot here and the night that we did these sweet girls’ session was no exception. I believe it was around 104 degrees outside…but, they didn’t complain in the slightest…and you’d have never known. What precious girls…the oldest is so gentle and caring for her little sister. Her mom described her as a “bright light” in their family…and from the moment I met her I could see it myself. She’s just a genuinely kind-hearted girl. And little G…seriously!?!?! Could you just flip over that tutu and leggings? She was quiet and not quite sure what to make of my camera…but, we got her giggling in the end. Adorable girls you have S! They are both a joy to be around!
