when you ask most {kids}… | Phoenix Child Photographer | Sandi Bradshaw |

to do the catcher’s squat…you get just what you had in mind…a little bent knee squat. BUT…when you ask a kid to do the catcher’s squat…and his Daddy is Eric Munson…who happens to be a pro baseball player…and more specifically, a catcher…well…this is what ya get! LOL! Love it!

Well…here is Sneak Peak #1 from this gorgeous family! There will be more from them in the days ahead because we’re headed back out tomorrow for some more fun. We ran a little short on light the afternoon that we did this session…so we didn’t get the variety that I wanted. However…I love what we did get…and I can’t wait to hang out with all of this adorableness again. This little boy might win the grand prize for the most personality of any kid I’ve ever photographed. I have so many cute expressions from him. (If you missed yesterday’s post…then scroll down to the previous post for another shot of him…he’s just so fun!)

And then there is little Miss S. Oh my goodness is she not just perfectly fru-fru? I adore petti-skirts…so I was so happy to see her mom pull this fabulous little number out of the bag. Perfect…all the way down to her pink converse. Love it!

And…their gorgeous mom…didn’t I tell ya? She’s just beautiful! And…doesn’t Mr. S look like he’s having fun now? He seriously had me cracking up the whole session.

I’ve already had a really great response to my model call in the last post! I am so excited about this project…and I can’t wait for it to start coming together. The deadline for submitting modeling applications will be Wednesday, March 4th. So…if you are currently a Junior in High School and you are interested in modeling for a special project that I am working on…then please scroll down and read the details in the post below. I will only be selecting 5 girls for the project and I would love a large variety to choose from since I am looking for a diverse group of girls.

Okay…that’s it for now…

no boys allowed {model} invitation… | Phoenix Senior Photographer | Sandi Bradshaw |

I have four things coming up over the next week or so, with varying degrees of über coolness, to tell you about! The first…is that I have a very special, exclusive “NO BOYS ALLOWED” project that I’m working on and I NEED MODELS!

I will only be choosing up to 5 girls for this project and the models must fit the following criteria:

• Female
• Currently a Junior in High School
• Fun, outgoing personality
• Very involved in extracurricular activities
• Unique, trendy, or modern sense of style
• Comfortable in front of the camera
• Available to participate in a super fun 6 hour photo shoot
about an hour outside of the east valley on Sunday, March 22nd

If you are interested in being considered for this project (or if you know of anyone who fits this criteria that might be interested – please forward this link to them), please email me and tell me a little bit about yourself (please include a recent picture if you have one available), and I will get back with you with further details regarding the requirements for the shoot and what you will receive for participating (some great stuff!) as well as a link to the application form. This is going to be a really fun, super girlie, photo shoot and I am soooo excited about it! I am looking for a very diverse group of girls and styles and I have a very specific vision in mind…so I don’t want ANYONE to feel bad if they are not chosen for this particular project.

And…as a teeny tiny little quick peek at a fun session from this weekend…and in honor of my super cool “No Boys Allowed” project…I think that this image is perfectly fitting. Is he not ridiculously adorable?!?! I’ll have more of him, his baby sister, and his gorgeous mom to show you tomorrow…or maybe later tonight…ya never know!

And sorry about being incognito this week. The balloon head bug continued to make it’s way through our family…it was like 10 days of varying levels of incapacity. Fun stuff! So…thanks for being so patient while my blog has been a little on the neglected side. We’re all over the bug now…and I’m happy to say that life has resumed in full force.

‘Til Next Time,
S

{yellow} makes me happy… | Gilbert Senior Photographer | Sandi Bradshaw |

I love everything about the color yellow…it’s just so warm and rich…and it makes me happy. So, I was super excited when this lovely lady showed up for her senior pictures with a yellow shirt. For some reason a lot of people can’t wear yellow…but, I’m hear to tell you…she seriously pulled it off. Thanks J – for braving the rough terrain with me…you probably didn’t expect to be hiking in flip-flops during your senior session! But, you were a great sport…and it was fun hanging out with you for the afternoon…wind and all! Here’s your sneak peek pretty girl…

And…once again…I have gotten two emails this week from people who had come to my blog from Google looking for information on the Photography / Photoshop Workshop in April…and couldn’t find it because they were taken to old posts. Fortunately, they emailed…however…I’m having a hard time figuring out how to make the information stick to the top of the blog. I’m working on getting the website up for the workshop, but in the meantime…if you came looking for information on the FOCUS 2009 Photography Workshop in Phoenix, AZ…then please click on the link. For the rest of you…sorry for all the continuous ranting and raving about it, but while I’m working on the website…it must be done. Bear with me. :o )

oh, how I love {variety}!… | Senior Photographer, Phoenix | Sandi Bradshaw |

Senior photo sessions are just so much fun to do. There is typically more variety during a senior session than most other sessions because those seniors just love to change it up a bit…not to mention they are usually up for just about every crazy idea I might have and they like the unusual…which makes for great images. So…I’m just going to take a moment to praise this awesome senior guy because not only was he totally up for anything at all that I suggested…(and some of my suggestions involved some pretty scary stuff), but he was just really cool to hang out with as well…and his mom…well, she was just great too and didn’t complain a bit when I lead them all the way out to the middle of nowhere…and missed my turn…and caused all sorts of traffic drama. Ummm…oops! Thanks for being such great sports guys and for being willing to travel to some of my favorite spots! Here’s your sneak peek…
