Hiya friends! Thank you so much to all of you who have so kindly sent me love letters asking where on earth I’ve been the past week or so…it’s a busy life I tell ya! But…good news! I am simply posting a quick note to let you know that I will be posting tonight with a Photoshop Workshop update as well as updated holiday info…and all the ramblings about the busy-ness that’s kept my bloggin’ to a minimum the past week & a half! Sheesh! I really am a BAD blogger!

So…check back tonight for an update on the “Illuminate Your Images” Photoshop Workshop.

Hello beautiful baby girl! Welcome to the world! You are blessed beyond measure…to have such a wonderful, amazing family who have loved you long before you made your debut. You melt my heart…

It was such a joy getting to be at this precious little girl’s birth. This is the third of my friend’s eight children whose births I’ve gotten to be at. (Well…the last one came so quick that I missed it by a few seconds…but, I was there right after!) What an amazing thing to get to be a part of. The waiting. The anticipation. The joy. The pain. The sweetness between her and her hubby while they wait. And wait. I am just in awe of her momma…and her determination to homebirth…even though it terrifies me personally…(I’m a complete pain avoider…thank you very much). She makes it look so easy. Here are some more of this sweet little newborn. I couldn’t just pick a couple…

I’ve already warned my friend that I may stalk her this week for a few more…I had to run out today a little earlier than I would normally finish a newborn photo session…because I HAD to go to my chiropractor. It was a necessity today.

So…I promised to post pictures of this little dreamboat the other day! He was so fun to “play” with. He had just enough spunk to be super fun…but, still perfectly sweet at the same time! I’ve know his mom ever since I was…ummmm…about 9! Scary…feeling a little old here! Anyway, I hadn’t seen her in about 10 years..so it was so much fun to hear from her and get to meet her adorable (and VERY well behaved) kiddlets. Oh…and ironies of ironies…I also remember right before our session that her hubby is the cousin to my childhood BF. Haven’t seen her in years either…why does that happen??? Hmmmm…

So…here is Mr. Handsome…and his chocolately {eyes}.

And this one…just because I promised him…see, he was such a trooper to not complain too loudly about having to color coordinate with his sisters pink shirt…so I mentioned that I would give him blue stripes instead of pink…and he wasn’t about to let me forget it!

And…I love this next one…he’s a good big brother…

Yesterday was such a special day! My best friend had her 8th baby…and I got to photograph the birth! What a sweet joy it was to get to watch this little angel come into the world. Here she is…about 5 minutes old…isn’t she just beautiful!?!

It was so dark by the time she was born that I resorted to using my flash on a few pictures…NOT my preference. When they called in the morning…I was told that if I didn’t get there right away I would miss it…but, 12 hours later, she was born! She was soooo worth the wait…and my friend had another very successful homebirth. I’m just in awe! I have so much more to share about this amazing experience…but, it’ll have to keep for a day or two…I’m tired!

We’ll be doing her newborn session early next week…so be watching for lots of baby yumminess…OH, I can hardly wait to break out a few of my new pink wraps…I’m sooo glad she’s a {GIRL}!

Also…I still need to blog some images of the brother to the little beauty in my last post. I had wanted to do that yesterday…but, I was ummmm…a little busy. So…you will see some of that handsome little man in the next day or so as well!
