Ok…are you ready for secret number two? I have had to delay posting secret number two because I was waiting for details to unfold…and they have…sort of…

But first…I’ve just got to share some more images from the most fabulous workshop ever! Seriously…I feel like I am spoiled for every other workshop to come…I think I could just go to this one over…and over…and over again. Chery Muhr was sooo inspiring…Amy Smith was sooo inspiring…all the wonderful photogs I met at the workshop were sooo inspiring. Need I say more? I could have stayed a week or two!

{ S E C R E T # 2 }!!!

I am planning a day of mini sessions that are going to be for the sole purpose of giving Dad a “secret” gift for Father’s Day! I am super excited about this because I firmly believe that every man should have a beautiful photo or two of his wife on his desk. ) Originally I had planned to do mini sessions with moms and the kids for Father’s Day gifts, but as it turns out…I actually have a 4th secret that would make that very difficult to accomplish…(more on that later)…but for now…I am so excited to announce…

“Secret Garden Mini Sessions“…for ladies only…(shhhhhh)!

The location is yet to be determined…but, it will be either Gilbert or Mesa and I am working on finding a location that has the perfect setting with both indoor and outdoor options. The sessions will only be 15 minutes long (anyone can handle the pressure of a camera for 15 minutes!)

You will be shown at least 5 images in an online gallery…AND…every image will be given my special “beauty” proofing treatment. ) You WILL look beautiful…and your hubby WILL be thrilled!

So…grab a girlfriend and book your sessions! Bringing along a friend or two will help you relax & feel comfortable! Isn’t it so sad that us girlies feel so funky in front of the camera? (I admit that I hate having my own picture taken….so I totally feel your pain!) BUT, don’t worry! We’ll have so much fun that you’ll forget that I even have my camera! Promise!

Hmmm…should I start with the Secrets? Inquiring minds have let me know that they are WAITING for the secrets! Now…you only get ONE tonight…but, the rest are coming!!! So…without further adieu…

{ S E C R E T # 1 }

The Secret Workshop…I have been ANXIOUSLY awaiting THIS weekend since Christmas!!! And…it’s finally here! I can’t believe it! It’s been like a dream to be sitting amidst 40 other photographers and soaking up the wisdom of the ridiculously über talented Cheryl Muhr. What a fun couple of days so far…getting to meet and hang out with some of THE nicest photographers. Ever! So fun! So…today we got to soak it up and then go out and shoot some really great kiddos. It was…ummm….interesting! I’ve never actually shared space with other photographers before! ) It’s quite a challenge to get great shots when you are elbow to elbow with other people who are also trying to get great shots! Actually it was so much fun and a total crack up to me to hang off to the sides and get shots of the “paparazzi” doing our thing! I’ll share some photographer outtakes later this week…ya know, being a photographer is often a dirty job…we lay in dirt, we climb things that should not be climbed, we sit in streets…crazy stuff…truly.

So, here are a couple of shots from today…these kids were just regular kids…sweet, sweet kids…and it was sooo much fun to get to shoot a huge variety of kids in such a short time. I LOVE shooting kids. There were actually about 30 kids there, but these were a few of my favorite shots from the day.

I’ll start with this gorgeous little man! What a beautiful boy! I LOVE shooting newborns…oh they are just so scrumptious! Every one of them!

Then this beautiful girl is the daughter of one of the photographers at the workshop…I just met her on Friday and already I just adore her! Hope you like this shot of your pretty girl Caroline!

Then this little princess was just so darling. She had been doing some photos with her sisters, but then kind of wandered off by herself…so I followed her. I love capturing kids doing something they love…and she was just absorbed in these flowers.

& then there is this adorable little sweet pea. Seriously…what a fabulous little outfit! She was just so darling…and I could have hung out with her for quite a bit longer…such a cutie!

So…that’s about all I have the energy for tonight…I’m exhausted! Must SLEEP!!! There is one more day of this crazy bliss! ))) So…check back tomorrow for Secret #2!

And I soooo wish I could tell you every last one of them! All three of them have me so stinkin’ excited that I can hardly wait to spill the beans…but, you’re gonna have to give me a couple days. I promise I’m not just being mean…I really do want you all to know! So…I promise that by the end of next week..all 3 secrets will be revealed! )

&…for those inquiring minds who may be wondering…no…I’m not pregnant. Although that would just be the total icing on the cake wouldn’t it? But, nope.

& now…I’d like to introduce my orange chair. This was a fabulous find…got it for free at a yard sale that was winding down…I LOVE funky chairs for photo sessions. My only issue with this chair…and it’s an issue that I can overlook because of my deep love for said chair…is that it’s HEAVY!!! So…if you happen to want me to bring along my cool chair to your session then just let me know…I promise I won’t complain! AND…if you happen to want to help me heave it up into my suburban after the session…I promise I won’t complain about that either! ;o)

The Rustic Mini Sessions were so much fun! I love getting to meet and photograph a big variety of people in one day. Everything moves so quickly throughout the day and by the end of the day I am definitely exhausted, but it’s truly a blast for me. This is also one of my favorite locations to shoot…and this is one of my sweet spots…I love the lighting in this little tucked away nook.

And here is another one of my sweet spots…& by the way…could he be any cuter? This is one of my favorite shots because he was genuinely cracking up at his sister being a goofball!

Check out this AWESOME brother & sister bond! I can’t begin to tell you how much fun these guys were! I love these last two shots because they were totally “them”. I’m also loving square crops at the moment…and every time I take a peek at these pictures I can’t help but think, “It’s hip…it’s hip…it’s hip to be square.” (I think I might need some sleep.)

At my son’s baseball game last night as the game was wrapping up and they were moving through the line up I was getting a little nervous that his turn up to bat wouldn’t roll around again before this gorgeous sky got too dark. I love how this one turned out! I might actually have to print and frame this one!

I love silhouette shots, but I rarely do them…it’s just not what I typically think to do…hmmmm….I might need to re-think that one since we have the most gorgeous skies ever here in AZ!!!

I must admit…when Miss B’s mom emailed me to book a Rustic Mini Session I was a little bit beyond thrilled! It was only 5 months ago that I got to shoot this little beauty for the first time and I could.not.wait to see this little cutie again! This is one of the spunkiest, funniest, cutest little girls I have ever met. I just adore her. The first thing I noticed when I met them for their session was that Miss B was wearing the most oh-so-adorable red boots! Kudos to mom for seriously rockin’ the wardrobe choices! ;o) And…here is Miss B-eautiful!

More Rustic Mini sneak peeks on their way! I’m already planning for my next Minis…but, the details are kinda top SECRET right now! So…you’ll just have to trust me on this one…you won’t want to miss them!!!
