It was high time for a change! I hope you like the new banner…it’s something that I’ve been dragging my heels on because I’ve been so very busy proofing and proofing and proofing…but, yesterday I just looked at the old banner and knew that it needed to be done! So…at the risk of sounding sappy…and corny…and hokey…I’ll just say it…this banner really reflects ‘why I love photography’.

I sincerely believe that life really should be treasured…and don’t worry…I am not delusional and thinking that taking pictures equates to treasuring life…but, what I do have the privilege of doing is stopping time with the click of a button in order to help you to remember forever the treasured moments of YOUR LIFE! This time in your life won’t be like ANY other time…and it is truly humbling to be able to capture a smile, an expression, a giggle, or a hug that years from now you can look back on and remember this time.

So…I’ll end the sappy chatter now and leave you with five photos & a little story of my son…during a stage that I want to treasure forever. )

You see…’R’ {HEARTS} Thomas…the Tank Engine that is. Sooooooo much! With ALL his HEART!!! I think his 2nd or 3rd word was choo-choo, said with the cutest little kissy pucker evvveeeerrrr! If ever a child adored choo-choos…it would be this child!

But…an odd thing has happened in the last couple of weeks…we aren’t sure…but, we are thinking that he is starting to realize how totally absurd it is for a train to have a FACE! So…he’s been getting a little upset while he watches Thomas…hence the “something just isn’t right face…”

But…it doesn’t stop there…then begins his “uh-oh’s & oh-no’s” as the look of fear takes over.

Then…there’s usually a moment when it’s as if he’s thinking…’OK…maybe this train with a FACE isn’t so freaky afterall…I can handle this…I’m a big boy!’…

But…the moment one of the trains starts talking again…it’s all over…”Buh-Bye Thomas…we’ll try again tomorrow.”

And…I WANT TO REMEMBER THIS! You know why??? Because a couple of months from now…I will have forgotten these precious expressions…reserved only for Thomas…and that just breaks…my…heart!

I gotta tell ya…I have enjoyed every single one of my sessions…I seriously can’t think of any that I didn’t enjoy…at least a little ;o). There have been a couple of kiddos that have taken some time to warm up to me, but that’s always kind of a fun challenge. ) But…every once in a while I will get to photograph a family that is so much fun to hang out with that I just beam all the way home about how much I {heart} this “job”! This…is…one…such…family!

How sweet is that? I love that their photos totally show that they are in love! How refreshing is that??? SO FUN!

and then I got some adorable shots of their ever-so-cute girlie. I was so diggin’ her hair. She was just about the sweetest thing ever…and soooo loves her family!

So…this was a big family session…Mom & Dad, Daughter 1, Son-in-Law, Granddaughter, Daughter 2, Boyfriend…and even a couple of really cute dogs! I’m only posting a picture of one of the dogs though…because it was just my absolute FAVE!!!

& then her boyfriend replaced the dogs in the pics and I got some really great shots of the two of them. Not much of a challenge to make these people look good. ;o)

and last…but…NOT least…was this CRAZY FUN couple! I mean seriously…this guy had me cracking up the whole time. He was just hysterical!…& had some darn near ingenious ideas for shots! What a fun day! I LOVE this shot of them because it just totally reminds me of those warm & fuzzy…married to your best friend…kind of marriages! Thanks guys!!!

I’ve finally decided that the Urban Minis will be held in Downtown Gilbert…beautiful historic Gilbert! I’m sooo excited to do these sessions in Gilbert…lots of fun spots to shoot! This is gonna be one crazy fun day!!!

This is FUN stuff! I am so excited to be hosting a string of Urban Mini Sessions designed specifically for all of the coolest Babies, Toddlers, Tweens, & Teens in the East Valley! If you like the look of FUN, MODERN, & UNIQUE portraits then the Urban Mini Sessions are just your style!

The Urban Mini’s will be held either in downtown Chandler or downtown Gilbert on March 1st. Sessions will begin at 9am and will go throughout the day with the last session beginning at 5:30. Sessions are only $50 & will last between 20-25 minutes each and will include (1) 5×7 print & (8) wallets of the same pose. One week after the session you will be shown an online proofing gallery with 8-12 images from your child’s session. Print orders placed within 5 days of the posting of your gallery will arrive in time for Easter. Siblings may be photographed together (up to 3), but an individual session must be scheduled for each child. Each child who is part of a sibling group would then have a slightly shortened individual time to allow for the group shots at the end of the combined sessions.

The Urban Mini’s are designed to be totally FUN, MODERN, & UNIQUE! Your child will be photographed in an urban setting with an emphasis on candid expressions. So, pull together your kid’s coolest clothes and fun accessories and come hang out with me for a few minutes on the 1st! Book early to reserve the time that best fits your schedule.

Your session fee may be paid by cash, check, or Paypal. Session fees must be paid in full to reserve your time slot. Once your session is booked you will receive a welcome packet with all the nitty gritty details regarding your photo session.

These are the kind of photos that I love the most…just everyone having fun together…these are the kind of pictures I want my grandkids to see of my own family…all of us laughing and having a blast together…these are the moments that make me so glad that I can “stop time” with the click of a button. )

Never a dull moment during a photo session with me! ;o)

This session came at the end of a very long and exhausting day (more on my AMAZING morning later)…but, although I was very tired…I was also very much looking forward to this senior session! I love it when people come to their sessions with ideas of what they want. Not that I don’t love to do my own thing…but, I just love to get ideas from them because they know themselves! This girl was rockin’ with the ideas…LOVE that! So thanks B! I must give you props because your ideas were right on!
